July 1914 - Europe marches towards extinction...

For the first time in history, industrialised armies clash head on, but are quickly ground down into the bitter deadlock of trench warfare. With technological advancements vastly outweighing the development of military tactics and strategy, young men are blindly and ruthlessly cast into the ever-growing storm of fire and steel; resulting in a catastrophic haemorrhage of human life, the likes of which the world had never seen.

In the unending exchange of heavy artillery bombardments and machine gun fire, youth from all corners of the world gravitate towards, and are consumed by the storm; cut to shreds just as quickly as they are mustered. The slaughter turning Europe’s once green fields into a desolate landscape of mud, blood and corpses.

As all sides struggle to find a way to break the stalemate, new weapons are developed; and used to more efficiently eradicate the constant flow of human life flooding into the trenches. All nations become relentless in the pursuit of bleeding their opponents dry and as such, an entire generation cheated of youth enters an age of misery.
